The Transformational Government Accelerator Event
28th April 09 - Edinburgh
Microsoft, Waverley Gate, 2-4 Waterloo Place, Edinburgh

Helping local authorities reconcile the conflicting challenges of delivering efficiency savings amidst a greater demand for services.

Local authorities face increasing pressure to improve services and reduce costs. Public sector finances will come under acute pressure as the unprecedented government borrowing of recent months begins to affect future spending plans. The pressure to find substantial, cashable efficiencies will grow. Improved services and greater efficiency must be delivered amid rapid demographic change and growing expectations of local public services.

The Transformational Government Consortium, building on Microsoft’s Citizen Service Platform, has devised the Transformational Government Accelerator, a fresh, contemporary approach to improving customer service whilst driving efficiency gains, using a combination of consultancy services and Microsoft-based technology.

To demonstrate this approach Microsoft and its partners are holding an event at Microsoft’s prestigious Edinburgh offices on Tuesday 28th April 09.
